In the summer of 2002 there was quite an active forest fire near the tiny resort town of Julian, from Archie Moore I got a view of the smoke rising one morning, the fire grew to over 25,000 acres and destroyed 20 odd houses over a two week period.
There are some really nice houses along Archie Moore Rd, it
wouldn't be a bad place to live but probably out of my financial range...

This fine morning the mist was hanging about in the valleys, this is a view from just North of the one above on Highland Valley Rd. Many thanks to the guy who stopped to check if I was alright while I was taking the picture.
