Sand Creek - December 2005

I drove about a mile into the National Forest and parked the Tundra off to the side of the road in the first place I could stop. From there I just walked west across the snow, it looks like a lot of snow in this picture but there was actually only about an inch, the lumps are caused by grass. In the distance are the Henry Mountains. The trees are the typical Juniper and Pinyon - Pine mix of this area.
