Fruita Schoolhouse
This one room school house was built in 1896 and at one time had as many as 35 students. The building was used for multiple purposes including Saturday dances and Sunday services. It was used as the school until 1941 when there were no longer enough students to continue. Today most of Wayne County's students are bused to Loa and Bicknell, further west on Utah 24.
