Rain and Rocks

The rain has been relentless for the last few weeks, I noticed a heavy storm over the park today so thought maybe I could find some waterfalls, just one rather uninteresting one unfortunately so I played around taking pictures of the rocks.

Waterfalls are quite rare in Capitol Reef since it rains so little. They only occur after a heavy rain and don't last long after the rain has stopped.

but tends to crowd out other local species, in some places there are quite aggressive eradication programs.
