Death Valley

This is the second day of the BMWSportTouring.com group meeting over the MLK weekend in Death Valley.
Tom and I decided to take a truck ride out to The Ractrack which is in a remote area on the north west side of Death Valley National Park. It was very cold again in the morning and we got rather a late start. Many of the pictures are Tom's, for some reason I tend to take less pictures when I'm with someone else (probably too busy talking).

Our first destination was the ghost town of Rhyolite, the walls of this house are made entirely of bottles...

Despite being a ghost town Rhyolite has a miniature of itself.

Next we headed over to Titus Canyon. The narrow road descends a twisty path over some hills to the canyon.

The canyon is just wide enough for the Tundra

At the end of the canyon Tom took a candid shot!
