Fishlake National Forest

Fishlake National Forest is named after Fish Lake (but it is called Fishlake N.F.!).

Torrey is the rightmost red dot on the map in between the Fremont River/Loa and Fremont River/Teasdale districts of the forest. The total area of the forest is 1.4 million acres, as Torrey is pretty much surrounded by the forest many of my trips take place within it.

Some trips in the forest:
July 2005 - Boulder and Back.
October 2005 - Chokecherry Point.
October 2005 - Hell's Backbone via Boulder Top.
October 2005 - Fish Lake, Sevenmile-Goosebury, Mom's Cafe.
September 2006 - Velvet Ridge.
September 2006 - Sheep Valley.
September 2006 - a snowy drive up the Goosebury/Seven Mile Road.
September 2006 -
High onto Boulder Top and Hell's Backbone.
