When I saw the Hurricane I had to have one and rushed right down to the dealer, I got serial # 33. This bike had everything that I had wanted when I bought the 400F and put the low bars and fairing on it plus it had much more power and handling as well really good looking bodywork.
I rode it quite a lot in the first few years I had it, especially as for a year it was my only transport, not a good grocery vehicle! The amazing thing about the Hurricane is how comfortable it is, not in a Goldwing way but for what it is. The seat is hard but the bars are not radically low and the riding position fits perfectly, I even rode it on a trip to Utah and have been known to take it on gravel and dirt roads. This is also the only bike I have ridden on the track, a great day at Sears Point taking Reg Pridmore's CLASS.
After a number of years sitting around not running I gave the Hurricane away in 2002 to a guy in the office who was looking for a project. It had become obvious that I wasn't going to fix it and I was about to move to San Diego so there was no point in taking it with me.

Honda have a nice retrospective of the bike on their web site
